Yesterday I unplugged my TV from the outlet while my PC was on (I've done this before) while unplugging it I heard a popping sound and saw a bright white light/spark come from my PC. My computer was still running but both my TV and my actual computer monitor were not displaying anything. So I unplugged them both and restarted my computer. My TV wouldn't even turn on. I knew my computer monitor was fine cause the power light was still on, I plugged my monitor into the integrated graphics card and it works. So I’m guessing my GPU is dead, though the fan on my graphics card still works. Why did this happen? Is my graphics card actually broken? Should I avoid plugging/unplugging things from that outlet? I have both my PC and my computer monitor connected through the same outlet by an extension cord and I’m too scared to plug/unplug anything else.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
